Our client is an International multidisciplinary firm based in Australia, who provide consultancy services in mining, mine analytics and geomechanics. Due to a significant workload increase in the s outhern states of Australia, our client requires a Principal Mining Engineer to lead feasibility and consultancy services for $billion projects in SA.

Reporting to the Group Manager, this individual will be responsible for acting as a representative of the firm, using his/her experience, expertise and industry contacts to promote and market it’s services. You will be expected to carry out highly technical assignments, acting as lead project manager where required whilst managing and mitigating the firms exposure to risk.

Requirements:

Degree in Mining Engineering
Minimum 10 years experience in mine engineering
Membership of a recognised professional organisation
Strong capability in open pit mine planning and operations
Experience in the management of staff at a senior level
